DFARS NIST SP 800-171 Security Compliance First Steps offers in-depth
training in application methods of DFARS NIST SP 800-171 standard
for the Protection of Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal
Systems. During this course, you will discuss the DFARS requirements
and NIST SP 800-171 standard, what it means to be compliant with
the requirements, and how general security assessment benefits any
organization. You will study the basics of IT infrastructure and systems,
including general strengths and weaknesses, and be given free and
open-source resources you can use to plan, implement, and operate a
cybersecurity program.

cybersecurity. Upon completion, you will be able to take a proactive
approach to your cybersecurity responsibilities and lead the
organizational culture paradigm shift toward a cyber-risk management
